ARTICULATING BOOM LIFTS

Articulated boom lifts offer a great deal of flexibility. There are light-weight models for working indoors, in tight spaces without marking or damaging floors. And there are much larger models that work outdoors over rough terrain reaching around, up and over obstacles. Articulating boom lifts (a.k.a. knuckle booms) are named because they have multiple sections, with 'joints or articulations' between the boom sections. Unlike telescopic booms that just go up, the user can go up, over and around obstacles. Even in a tight spaces they have the flexibility needed to get the job done. They range in size and reach from the small electric models with a platform height of 30 feet and a 20 foot reach to the much larger diesel models with a platform height of 150 feet and a 75 foot reach.

TELESCOPIC BOOM LIFTS (Straight)

Telescopic boom lifts offer greater height and reach, they are aerial work platforms with a boom that extend much like a telescope, in sections. These are ideal when obstacles on the job site prevent close access. They are also commonly known as straight booms because of their straight appearance and are available for all types of terrain, from smooth, even surfaces to rugged, unimproved job sites. There are telescopic boom lifts with four-wheel drive and active oscillating axles. These are designed with the ability to negotiate terrain irregularities and maintain traction. Telescopic booms offer the most horizontal reach of all the aerial platforms, making them ideal for areas with limited access in construction, ship yards, entertainment venues, road construction & bridge work, as well as painting & inspection applications.
